Get Spirited Transportation to Berlin Game
There will be a “Spirit Bus” going to the Berlin Western Reserve football game this Friday for any students, parents or other community members. In order to ride the bus, you must complete a City of Independence waiver form and return it no later than this Thursday by 12:00 p.m. There will be no charge to ride the bus. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. (Waiver forms can also be picked up in the Main Office at the High School.)
Fall Fest Booths
The Music Department and Music Boosters will be having booths at Fall Fest on Sunday, September 26 from Noon until 4:00. There will be a pop and water booth and Walking Taco booth. Both booths will need adult and student volunteers for this event. Students will be eligible to receive services hours only. Photo Buttons are ready for pickup
They will be available on Wednesday at the IHS Open House as well as Marching Band Rehearsal on Wednesday, September 1. Buttons not picked up on this date will be available again at the next home game on September 17 or by calling Marcia Abbadini 216-447-8393.

A good deed deserves a good feed!
On Friday, September 17 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm Chipotle restaurant on Rockside Road will be conducting a fundraiser for the IHS Music Booster New Uniform Campaign. 50% of your meal receipt will be donated back to the Music Boosters. You must present a flyer with your order to be eligible for the donation. Pick up flyers at the school office.
First Football Game
What a perfect evening for the first game of the season. It was great to see our IHS Blue Devil Marching Band dressed in full uniform under the stadium lights. What a show they put on for us!
Did you notice anything different about the Marching Band on the field? Our band members all have brand new pants. These pants were purchased as phase one of our New Uniform Campaign. Thanks to your generous support of our fundraisers last year we have been able to outfit the band with these new items. Please encourage your musician/s to take care of their uniform jacket and these new pants. The pants have to last us 20 years, just as the previous pair.
True Blue Night
The music played, the cheerleaders cheered and performed routines, the football team conducted a scrimmage to preview the 2010 Blue Devil football season. Thank you to the Athletic Boosters, Girls Soccer and our Music Booster volunteers, along with Mr. Schatt, Coach Jackson and Mr. Skoczen for planning and helping put on the first annual event.
